Not everyone can say, "I know how you feel".  But we can.

Our son, Cameron,  was injured at birth and has a brachial plexus injury.  Cameron has limited use of his left arm and it has truly been a journey.  Cameron had a 10 hour nerve graft surgery a little before he turned 3 months old.  It was very difficult for us.  We felt so alone.

Our mission is to let you know that you are not alone.  It is estimated that 2-3 out of every 1,000 births result in brachial plexus injuries.  Cameron was the minority in regards to the severity of his injury, but every parent that has a newborn with a brachial plexus injury, regardless of the severity, feels the same way, alone...confused.  Why did this happen, how did this happen?

As a new parent, it is difficult to take everything in, to remember everything that was said about your child's injury.

Cameron's Smile, in cooporation with Dr. Scott Kozin, at the Shriner's Brachial Plexus Center in Philadelphia has developed a video to help you with these questions and to understand what a brachial plexus injury is, in your own time.
